Our Front Office is conveniently open 24 hours per day and one of our friendly Customer Service Representatives will be happy to aid you in the admission/discharge process. Admissions to our hospital are made through the referral of your medical practitioner or through our Accident & Emergency Department. Medical practitioners are Independent Consultants and do not act as Agents, Representatives or Officers of West Shore Medical.

The Admission Process

Having made the decision to utilize our services to aid your healthcare needs, your doctor/surgeon will provide you with an admission letter which must be presented to our Front Office.

This is to ensure that you are cognizant of procedures to be undertaken during your admission to our hospital and have given your informed consent to proceed.   • The risks and benefits of the alternative treatment or procedure; and

However, we cannot guarantee any type of room as rooms are assigned base on availability. West Shore Medical provides a variety of room styles from a view of the ocean, inner private rooms to shared accommodation.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]A deposit is required before admission to our hospital. Medical, CCU and ICU patients are required to pay deposits of $7,000.00, $15,000.00 and $30,000.00 respectively, prior to admission.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]See our [media-downloader media_id=”1516″ texts=”Payment Policy”] for accepted forms of payment.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]Any membership cards for discounts (e.g. Medicard) MUST be presented to the Customer Service Representative at the time of admission. Failure to do so will make such discount void. [/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]Should your stay with us be covered through an approved insurance provider, you will be requested to make a co-payment to cover any applicable deductibles as advised by your insurer.

The Discharge Process

[/vc_column_text][info_list style=”circle with_bg” icon_color=”#3983d8″ font_size_icon=”24″ connector_color=”#3983d8″ connector_animation=”fadeInUp”][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]The discharge time from our hospital is 12:00 noon.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]When a patient is discharged, the patient’s file will be audited and a final invoice prepared.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]The patient’s Contact Person is advised of any balance outstanding or refund due.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]Account balances are due in full before discharge.[/info_list_item][info_list_item list_icon=”Defaults-check” animation=”slideInLeft”]Refunds to credit cards will be processed at the time of discharge once the card is presented. Otherwise a refund cheque will be issued within three (3) working days of discharge.[/info_list_item][/info_list][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
